Our Women's Groups - the Disciples Women's Ministry (DWM):
The Anna/Lydia Group - meets the 1st Monday of the month at 6:15pm at the church.
The Elizabeth Group - meets the 1st Tuesday of the month at 10:00am at someone's house.
The Esther Group - meets the 1st Tuesday of the month at 11:30am at the church.
The Mary Group - meets the 1st Thursday of the month at 11:45am at the church.   
The Sarah Group - meets the 1st Monday of the month at 11:45am at the church.
The Tabitha Group - meets the 1st Tuesday of the month at 7:00pm at someone's house.
The Leah Group - meets the 1st Wednesday of the month at 7:00pm at Carolina Cafe (Cameron Village)

What do we do?  We are a group of women interested in finding ways to serve and worship God, while helping others through outreach, study, and giving.

Who attends?  Any woman in our church. You do not have to be a member of Hillyer to attend.

How long do the meetings last? From 1 to 2 hours.

What are my responsibilities? Only to have the love of God in your heart, and to have a good time!

The DWM: How can I get involved?

You could come to a meeting. Call the church office at 832-7112 and we'll help you get going!

You could help with a Caring Group. These Caring Groups perform certain functions within the church. Some of these functions are:
Chancel Flowers - Usually given in honor or memory of a loved one. The arrangements may be taken home at the end of the 11:00am worship service. .
Service at Mayview - For over 25 years, Hillyer has been going to Mayview Nursing Home on the second Tuesday of every month at 10:30am. You could bake cookies (about 3 or 4 doz.) or you could go to Mayview for singing, or to give a devotional.
Cradle Roll and Nursery - This is during the 11am service. We are always happy to have people to help out in the babies through 4 year olds.
Meals on Wheels - Hillyer is a driving force in this effort. The average time spent en route and delivering is about 1½ hours. Second Tuesday of the month.
Office Assistant - Darlene Tafoya, our wonderful church secretary, needs a day off every now and then. Maybe you'd like to answer the phones while she is out, or assist with various church office activities on an as-needed basis.
Kitchen Helpers - Persons needed to help with an occasional cleaning or purchasing of kitchen supplies.
Bereavement Committee - This group makes calls to a list of volunteers asking for prepared food to be brought to the church for families who loose a loved one and do not have any ties to the DWM circle. You may be asked to serve food as well.
Church Decorations - This group decorates the church for Christmas and Easter.
