Are You Ready for the Challenge?

Join Hillyer’s Summer Faith Challenge to create memories, talk about faith and serve others.

If you accept this mission, your family will face six challenges that each focus on a story from the Bible that shows us God’s love for us and an action-oriented response that helps us practice showing God’s love to each other.

Tell me more!

Each challenge focuses on a story from the Bible and includes a service opportunity. Your family might choose to pick 6 days throughout the summer as “challenge days” or you might focus on a different challenge each week. You are free to go at your own pace and find any rhythm that works for you. Most parts of a challenge can be done in about 5 minutes, though the activities will take a little longer.

However you choose to approach the challenges, consider yourself a winner if you’ve spent time talking with your children about faith. Kids that come from families who talked about faith regularly outside of Sunday mornings are most likely to carry their faith with them into adulthood. Give yourself permission to focus on the faith conversations rather than the specific activities.

If you need some additional motivation, fill out this marble jar. Color a marble for each part of a challenge you complete (including reading the parent note!). There are 30 opportunities for marbles spread across the challenges. Fill in 25 marbles--for any 25 parts of the challenges and in whatever order--for a prize! Bring the completed marble sheet to the Sundae School Kickoff on Sunday, August 29th and choose a special reward out of Sarah’s treasure box.
